This aviation bombers jacket was released as part of the ‘Flying Spicer’ collection of vintage label ‘Spicers of Melbourne’.

Smokey blue/ grey with bold contrasting orange lining.

The cuffs, collar and waist band are a knitted synthetic in. Two front side pockets plus nylon zipper sleeve pocket. Concealed Hood.

All original labels and tags, in good worn vintage condition.

100% Polyester.
Lining: Taffeta quilted with poly fill

Through the late 70's Spicer Sportswear were operating out of Nicholson Street, Fitzroy North and importing large quantities of clothing to sell locally.

Through 1980 and 1981 Spicer was primarily involved in the importation of coats, tracksuits, and raincoats. Known collections released such as ‘Survival’, ‘Alpine’ and the iconic ‘Flying Spicer’ took on the winter seasons with their casual spray jackets and nylon bombers, with the latter also proving lucrative, with Spicer landing contracts supplying the Air Force and Departments of Aviation and Transport.
