‘Double Peach’ Original Qi Pao style dress; perfect vintage condition.

High neck, all original fasteners, 2 side splits to mid thigh either side of garment.

Wear with runners for street style look, or boots/ heels for a glam 90’s look.

Dating back to the 1920’s and 30’s in Shanghai, this traditional robe garment was originally worn less fitted with trousers. However, with the introduction stockings and high heels throughout the flapper era, trousers were done away with and the side slit lengthened. At the same time, again perhaps influenced by Western style, the dresses became tighter. Soon everyone from famous singers to famous first ladies were wearing qipaos, further heightening its popularity still to this very day.
